Rotiboy Bakeshoppe was born in April 1998 in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia.
Founded by Hiro Tan, the company prospered with a simple mission: to provide the neighborhood with fresh, high-quality bread and great-tasting cakes. By strictly controlling shelf life to ensure peak freshness, Rotiboy quickly became a household name. In those early years in Bukit Mertajam, we built our reputation on quality, eventually introducing the one and only Rotiboy Bun.

The "Rotiboy" bun is baked and sold fresh from the oven. It offers a signature texture—crispy and crunchy on the outside, yet moist and buttery on the inside. It is an exceptional taste experience that customers describe as "Bundelicious," "a taste of heaven," "to die for" and "one is never enough".
In 2001, we took a bold step into the Klang Valley. That move sparked a frenzy, turning a daily bake into a nationwide phenomenon. Today, our buns are enjoyed across borders and oceans. We have gone from serving a neighborhood to serving the world, and our ovens haven’t stopped since.
To date, countless buns have been baked, sold, and enjoyed worldwide. We’ve stopped counting the numbers and started counting the smiles. The Bun Revolution continues.
